Research


In my early career, I was a Research Assistant in the Department of Applied Geology, where I have developed several research proposals for funding, and actively took part in the development of the department.

Later I joined the Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad as a Project Scientist and worked on "Phosphorus Burial in the Continental Margin Sediments of the Arabian Sea", under the supervision of Prof.S.Krishnaswami and Prof.M.M.Sarin. Later, I was a Visiting Faculty at the Anna University of Technology that later became the University College of Engineering, Tiruchirappalli. In 2015, I joined Curtin University, Malaysia, as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and worked on the geochemistry of the river sediments of Baram, Pleagus and Baleh in Malaysian Borneo in collaboration with Prof.R.Nagarajan.

Research in Focus

At present, my research focus in on trace elements speciation, and development of proxies for palaeoclimate research.
